    new leg workout.. seems to be working for me

    hey guys i looked around at other workouts, and stole some of my friends ideas as well heres what i did tonight..

    3min on the bike for warmup

    squat
    135x10
    135x10
    225x6
    275x1
    315x1
    335x1
    225x4 rest/explosion set.. set stops a little below parrallel, go down, rest the bar on the stops for a 1-2 count then explode up
    185x7 rest/explosion set (thats what i call it at least)

    3 setts of calfs (rotate different excersize every week)
    x15
    x10
    x10

    standing barbell lunges ( rotate with incline leg press every 2 weeks)
    135x7
    135x7
    135x7

    leg curls (machine)
    125x10
    150x10
    175 (i think)x8

    leg extentions
    125x15
    150x12
    162.5 x10

    any opinons on what i should change at all? i can useually go heavier on the leg extentions but i felt like i was gonna puke after the squats and barbell lunges.

    I kinda like your rest/explosion technique, dont know what if any benefit but if you like it............

    I guess the only thing I might switch is that you keep a mod-heavy leg press after squats and alt. between leg ext and lunges each week. I think you could stand a bit more volume esp since your squat reps are somewhat low and heavy.

    but if it works and you like it dont change it....

    Not enough hamstring work, add SLDL to that and drop the thigh extensions

    mft81: i feel the hardest part of the squat is the bottom, thats where i always get stuck, so its almost like im starting from the bottom with the rest/explosion sets. its alot tougher then it sounds and it freakin kills. but i like it! try a set and see what you think. im no workout guru by any means.. but hey, it works with bench press rite? (pause sets)
