    Little help with chest

    I was just wondering if there was any reason why I can't get a good Isolated burn in my chest, during chest days. Dont get me wrong I work it pretty hard making sure I can't touch albows when putting my arms together. So I know that the muscles are getting worked. Any advise or sets someone can recommend to me to get more of an Isolated Burn. (simular to the burn everyone gets buring bi and tri days)
    Usually My chest days look like this switching it up every 2 weeks.
    1. Cable Crosses
    2. Decline bench + flat + inclined depending on the week
    3. chest press
    4. flat dumbell press and dumbell flys

    I throw in a few more but I am not sure of the exact name
    Any adivise

    1. to many presses if your doing flat incline and decline.

    2. I bet your form is a bit off. Try this if you havent already.

    1.) For all pressing movements make sure to pull your shoulder blades back, this allows for a deeper stretch in the chest muscle and keeps your anterior delts from taking over during lift

    2.) make sure you are going down at a controlled speed on the neg portion and your lowering the weight until you feel a light stretch in the chest then explode up w/ control.

    3.) Dont lock out at the top of the movement, you can shorten your rep range a bit and you'll keep tension on the chest during entire set.

    Once again pick two types of presses at MOST and then one to two aux movements for chest ie flys pec dec etc

    thx bro.. i dont know my form is not all that bad. I do agree with you I think I am doing to many pressing excersises. How does your chest day look?

    lets see.........

    1. Flat Bench 5x5 (For emp on stength)
    2. Incline DB 3-4x6-10 with one drop set after last set at around 50% less weight.
    3. Incline DB Flys on swiss ball 3x8-12
    4. DB Pullovers 3x8-12

    Or.

    1. Incline Bench w/bar 4x6-8 (Emphasize strength)

    2. flat bench db 3x6-10

    3. Incline bench on smith 2x 8-10/8-10 (Use a mod weight for 8-10 then strip and do another 8-10 but with a lot lighter and emphasize form for a good pump

    4. Dips 3x 10 with body wt or maybe a 25lbs plate.

    these are my two favs.

    Nice, well today is chest day so I am def going to try your routine today.. One question. Dips is for chest? I'm not new to the gym scene but ill do dips on tri days...

    Yeah you can do dips for chest or for tris, Its all in body postion

    To emphasize chest lean forward and lock your legs behind you.

    to emphasize tri stay upright and lock legs in front of you similar when doing hanging leg raises.

    Even if you do tris on chest day, dips are a great way to end your chest portion of your workout and segway into your tricep routine

    if you already did some type of dip earlier this week or whant to do it later than subsitute a diff exercise for dips.

    Good luck with the chest today!

    ohh man! My chest hurst like a bitch! I woke up this morning and I didnt want to move. I'm glad today is leg day because I dont feel like picking up a weight..lol
