i saw some training vidoes of leg press from some pros a few mins ago, and they go down about 50%, when i leg press i usually go down as far as possible, can anyone clear up which is more effective and why? thanks!![]()

thay do it cause with that range of the move the muscle stays on the most tight phase all the time, but it's complicated and you don't use it all the time, cause it ****s up ur knees. Don't trouble urself with it if ur a beginer

Plus you have to realize that it was in a video, Most pros arent going to use a weight they normally use W/ a full range of motion, they do shorter choppier reps cause they do it for excetiment of the vid
would you rather see Ronnie do 1500 and do full range of motion or 2500 W/ all the yelling and screaming and doing 6 inch reps?
Find a range of motion thats "comfortable" for you in which you stress the muscle fully.
I usually will do my first 1 or 2 reps only half way and slowly go deeper each rep untill im comfortable with the amount im using.
