Cardio on an empty stomach and after training

I have already searched but everything just seems to contradict each other I mean don't you need food as soon as you get up because your in a catabolic state and don't you need food straight away after training because again your body starts to go into a catabolic state. This is for fat loss. Should cardio be done at a different time to prevent muscle loss.

what i do is do cardio after lifting.......I lift pop some amino acid tablets and then do cardio the after cardio take whey protein 50-75g and a creatine supplement....popping the amino acids between lifting and cardio will prevent muscle breakdown.

this is not the best advice, the amino acids will help but this is not the best approach in my opinion.

But this is a very good question, and me even being a personal trainer and graduating in kineisiology/ exercise science. IMO the best time to do cardio is in the morning on an empty stomach (yes you need nutrients when you wake but this is a much better time to go into a catabolic state, which will likely not happen if executed correctly, than immediately post workout. Take your aminos/ glutamine suppliments if desired b4 morning cardio to help prevent this and make sure you are not sleeping more than 7-8 hours so you dont go too long without getting your macros.
PLUS-- If you cardio in the morning you can wait 30-45 minutes b4 you ingest any food and really keep that fat burning going whereas if you do it pwo you take in protein and therefore it stops.

and yes you can burn alot of fat immediately pwo, but thats not the name of the game if your wanting to maximize muscle gains.

MAXIMIZE BOTH YOUR WORKOUT/ MUSCLE GAINS AND CARDIO BY SEPERATING THEM
