    Question

Lets say its Chest and Tri day.

Who does all chest and then all tri or who does a chest exercise then a tri then a chest...and so on..

I personally do all chest then all tri. Who does it the other way and why?

I like to combine chest/tri on one day then back/bi on a different day, that way you use pushing movements one one day and pulling movements on the other day. As for the initial question, so many exercises use both that I don't try to isolate each group and do them separately.

I do the same then every 2-3 months I change with chest/shoulder, Legs/traps, back/arms. I do a 3 on 1 off routine. But it has taken me years to find what works best for me. I also have variations on my routine, from super sets, 2-0-4 count, etc...

bench works chest, delts, and tri's. I don't see how someone would do all chest and then all tri's when so many exercises hit both.

For some, always doing chest, shoulders and triceps in the same workout will eventually irritate the anterior regions of the deltoids and the elbow joint.

In addition, always training triceps after both the chest and deltoids does not allow one to hit the triceps with full intensity.

Again, it's a personal preference but what I just stated has been my experience. I like CHEST,BACK/ARMS,DELTS/LEGS better for a 3 way split.
