So lets hear it. How much can you curl??
ive found curling with lighter weight and really going slow works best for me
cmon, one guy does curls around here??
I usually work upto about 70lbs then do 2 drop sets. 70,50 then 30s. I guess I could curl about 85-90lbs if I wss going for 1-2 reps?

I have mad strong arms....ironically chest the weakest..I can preacher 120. Maxed at 140 once.
Its not important, keep your form and the weight will be inconsequential. Use heavy weights for major bodyparts.
100x6 BB curl here
125lbs X 5 here...
165 x 3 bb
80 x 7 db
That was a few years ago I dont lift heavy like that anymore for fear of injury.
thats heavy man... i can do 60 by 8 db with out swinging ... but wow man..Originally Posted by kaberle_15

105lbs for 8 reps with a bb

50's db
What's your max curl?Originally Posted by roidattack
I dont know what my max is but I have been curling 55's and 60's lately. Any higher and it would be a waste because my form would be shit.
***No source checks!!!***
I hit 175 for 8 on Tuesday.

Roidattack, if you don't mind can you post you bicep routine, no weight just the exercise, sets, and reps. I need a new bicep workout, been getting bored with mine and diminishing results.Originally Posted by roidattack
Judging by your avatar pics, looks like you can do more than that. Is that bb max after you do your dbs or fresh?Originally Posted by -DedicateD-
165 max str8 bar standing for 3. Can do that wide and close grip. No back swinging.
man!!! some of you guys are f-ing animals... the absolute MOST that i can do is 145 for 3. and the last one isn't great..ha
2- 45 lb plates a side with a ez curl bar on a preacher bench for 2 reps....its been 15 years ago at least and my right elbow still aint recovered...no bs
there seems too much room for cheating on bicep curls, its not like other exercises where you have to keep strict form.
however 65lb db's
or
140lbs bb.

3x8-12 (going heaviest on first set, not the last)
then something like 21s, doing top half first then bottom but no finishing seven. Like top 7 bottom 7 for a total of 14 reps per set. I do 3 sets of that. (again going heavy on first set and decreasing weight)
db 2-3 sets of 12-15. (the only time I do 3 sets of this is when I feel I havent worked the bi enough...hardly ever do 3)
so 8-9 sets total..then 6 sets on the forearm.
thats what Im doing right now...
DAMN!
That's some real harcore strength
I workout with 70 db, 135 bb for 4-6
My max db was 90
My max bb was 155
bb 205 x 4
db 90's x 6

Don't ever really isolate bi's but last time I did them I could curl 80lbs d-bells for 6 and not sure about bb curls.
I don't do much isolation either. I can do barbell 95 lbs for 4 reps, strict form back against the wall, 100% natural too. Just getting ready to start my first cycle. dumbbell 45's 6 reps. Hammer curls 55's 5 reps. Mostly I work bi's with underhand back work.
