proper bench press form?
it depends on what your goal is i go 3sec down 0sec up i go for power and strength bodybuilding is sumwhat different
hes right it depends on what your looking to get out of your work out your (goal)
goal- bigger more well defined pecs
basically asking if you should touch your chest or not? and should you do it parallel to the nipple area?
yess
yes???
feet on floor. Butt should not leave bench. Bar should touch chest. an arched back is beneficial.
lol wheres DocSus???
To isolate the pecs:
1. Slow, controlled movement; up AND down.
2. Don't bounce weight at the bottom.
3. Butt flat on bench.
4. Don't lock out your arms at the top, or pause at the bottom... CONSTANT motion, nice and slow.
5. Some guys who have f'd-up their rotator cuffs over the years won't lower the weight lower than allowed by their upper arms being parallel with the floor.
6. You might want to put your feet up on the bench if you're a shorty and/or you've got an overdeveloped... er... glutes. If I stretched my feet down to touch the floor my back would be arched like McDonalds.
