He is using his back too much to get the weight up. He would be better off standing against a wall to prevent him from doing so.

Nope his fourm is great. Hes doing the Back + bicep exercise. J/K
IMO everything he was doing was wrong. Even the seated curls. I allways go down further on my seated curls to amlost a full extension on the arm. But not to far to take the weight off the bicep.
Those are inflatable weights!!
