    Power Lifting Versus Body Building

I want to see if I have a good understanding of this:

Power lifting is when you use heavier weights and do fewer repititions to gain strength

    and

Body Building is when you use (slightly) lighter weights and do more repetitions, along with super-sets to gain muscle size

    is that correct?

A power builder uses power tools, and not hand tools.

Well yes that is half true... any big bodybuilder used heavy weights to gain size and many still use heavy weights... if you stay light and high reps, plan on remaining very similar sized to where you currently are and getting some more definition.... if you really want to beef up, you will need to lift with heavy weights at some point of time and for a while too. maybe not a power lifting regime, but heavier weights along with bulk diet puts the size on...........

Powerlifting = An objective sport based on what a person can lift in pounds / kilos ...

Bodybuilding = A subjective sport based on Modeling & Posing and being judged the prettiest…

    Yes, but minus the super-sets!

Also, power-lifting involves not training to failure for the most past where as bodybuilding is all about failure training. Also, you need to feel the muscle working as a bodybuilder. With power-lifting your only concern is moving the weight from point A to point B.
