Thread: Biceps still feel soft

    Question Biceps still feel soft

How can I maintain that hard feeling even after the pump is gone out of my bi's? I know it can be done. Think of that guy at the gym who always looks/feels as if he just worked bi's. Also, any special ways to create a bigger humb just above the elbow?

Add one or two sets to your last Primary and Secondary exercises, with lighter weighs, to fatigue and failure. The key is to tear appart as much fiber as possible. So this works for me, ex.

Primary (last) exercise, dumbbell curls on 45 degree angle:
normal routine x3 or 4 then
x2 w/lighter weights, reps. as many as I can do until fatigue/failure.

    Secondary, Preacher curls:
normal routine x3 or 4, then
x2 w/lighter weights, reps. as many as I can do until fatigue/failure.

Oh, keep an ice bag ready as you won't be able to stand the burn on your bi's after your done doing that, if done right.

the other night we superset seated alt curls and standing hammers(DB) 3X10. Lowering the weight each set. Bi's were on fire. For the first ten min on the treadmill, it felt like my skin was going to split.. But after a while it fades away. Will these lighter sets help make them harder 24/7???

Well, I don't know about 24/7 but at least, in my case, -if done right; till fatigue and failure- the pain/soreness on the muscles carry over to the next Bi's session a few days later. Just make sure your workout routine, between those days, doesn't involve a lot of upper body movement like Shoulders, or worst, chest day, etc.

well, let's say you did preachers on a 3x3 or 4x4 split:
    1x45 by 10, 1x50 by 10, 1x65 by 8, 1x70 by 6.

    add x2:

1x35 or 1x40s x2 by 30 reps! Try that my friend....
