Best thing you can do is just to hit the gym and hit it hard with the intensity that you had the last time you worked out.. you will fall right back into pace and be all set... so yah.. lol... get off the computer and get to the gym..

like its been said. get your butt in the gym. and start training. i was off for almost a year, due to some personal problems. and once i really focused and got back into it. i put on the 20 pounds i had lost over that year, in about 2 months. and this was with no gear. so im a big believer in muscle memory. the hardest part is stickin it out, when you are so damn sore everyday, at first.

I recently had a back injury and during the down time I lost 15lbs. I think the biggest problem wasn't that I wasn't in the gym, but that my diet fell off so badly. My word of advice to you is really be sure not to let the diet lag. I have been hitting it hard again and have had trouble getting back to par becasue once the diet falls off it is so easy to justify cheating again and again.

I'm hoping muscle memory works as advertised .I didn't work out for 8 or so months. Due to health issues and other personal problems.

I Finally decided to force myself to go workout through my constant fatigue. I feel better while working out, but once I'm done the extreme fatigue comes back with vengeance.

    good call.

though, I wouldn't return to the gym with the "same intensity"...ease into it, or you'll be setting yourself up for an injury.

I would suggest 3x a week of full body. 6-10 exercises. 1 warm up set, heavy set for 2 weeks. Then get back into your normal spit and up the sets/intensity and get serious with your diet. 0.02

It's best to leave your ego at the door for the first 2-3 weeks keep the weight low and don't push yourself too hard. An injury would set you back much more then not pushing that extra 5-10% for the first few weeks.

I started back up 2 weeks ago so I'll see firsthand how well muscle memory works. My diet is good so that won't be the limiting factor.
