Red Blood cell count WAY high

I know that gear will nearly always raise ones red blood cell count. Other than going off and giving blood, is there another way to lower the Red Count?
    RBC-6.5, hemoglobin-20.7, hemocrit 60.5.

I am pretty sure it is not recommended to give blood while on cycle or right afterwards. Could be wrong though...

Its fine to give blood while on cycle. Actually the high RBC's are a plus in the hematology world. All blood goes thorugh filters and is separated by type anyway.

If your blood pressure is high they might not draw your blood.

Why do you want to lower? The body is adapting to the gear put in. Your body thinks you need more red cells to muscles because of the optimized and increased protein synthesis. Its the same principle of natty test shutting down because you introduced the synthetic test at a higher mg than the body needs to maintain balance. RBC's being high is a good thing per say because you are getting higher amounts of blood flow to muscles which causes growth and faster repair. I know it makes you tired and lethargic sometimes which all goes back to the third of the basic three rules of BB'ing. (DIET, TRAINING, REST)I wouldnt look so much into lowering RBC's as I would maintaining good LDL (good choolesterol) and HDL (bad cholesterol) levels while on cycle. If these are not maintianed within the adequate range, cardiovascular problems can surface. All this being said I am ASSUMING you are on gear. If you arent and your RBC's are high you need to get that in check immediatly.

My thought was that they ask you if you have done any drugs or medications in the past x amount of months, and if you did you aren't eligible.

I know perfectbeast gave blood when his rbc's got high. I would just lie about the drug use becouse as spartan said your not going to be hurting anyone. Just make sure you can get through the blood pressure part and you will be alright.

Not sure if I should start a new thread on this, but my Triglycerides went from the 300's in 6/2008 to an alarming rate of 800's 1/2009. I finished my cycle 10/2008 (but maybe unrelated as I've done 5 cycles, 12 weeks each, once a year since 2004).....and in the second half of 2008 (again maybe unrelated) but I dabbled socially (as in once a month) with skiiiiiiiiiiiiing.

Any suggestions?? This was very abnormal and concerning.
    Thanks all!

Guess I should have the courtesy to respond after all these replys, thanks guys.

The problem with TOO HIGH red count is that it makes the blood too thick.
So it puts you at risk for shit like blood clotting, stroke, heart attack. Some pro bikers used EPO a few years ago to raise their red count and it basically turned their blood into the viscosity of glue. They all died.
I think I'll go give some blood and go back on HRT for a while.

I don't think I was going overboard on the eating. I mean yea I put on some "sympathy weight" as my wife was pregnant with our 2nd child. My best was 175 lbs at 5'7" (I'll try to attach a pic)...now probably 200 lbs. My chest and arms still big, but there's a pot belly there.

Maybe I should get bloodwork done again? My last blood test was first week of January which wasn't probably a good idea as that New Years Eve I partied, drank, and sn0rted.

    Peace all...

6.5 on RBC's is not TOO high. Yes it is elevated but not extreme. By no means is your blood gonna turn to "a viscosity of glue" at that level. Make sure you drink PLENTY of fluids, water mostly and you will be fine.

Give blood as often as possible and you could take an aspirin each day to help thin the blood.

with all due respect Ronnie, this is not necessaril true. Of course the thicker
the blood the more the pressure will bin the sense of moving the blood throughout the body. However, at a elevated level but not critical, the body can maintain normal blood pressure in most cases. For instance, an I can say from personal experience I keep blood pressure in the normal range throughout a whole cycle with elevated RBC's. I get a complete panel done every 4 to 5 weeks. Also, If this were the case it wouldnt be recommended to do cardio at a high target heart rate while on cycle. This I know is a debate in itself but how many of us do it and ar3 fine? elevated or (high=more than normal) levels or RBC's DO NOT automatically mean higher blood pressue. You would have to look at the while spectrum including hematocrites, etc. Maybe the case isnt the RBC's at all. Maybe its sodium intake, not enough fluids, or simply a genetic or predisposed condition that did not surface until on cycle.

If it means anything in my defense, the "Insufflation" (look it up) is very social. Like once a month. I've done it a total of- I can count on 1 hand. And I was just turned onto it 7/2008. I don't smoke cigarettes or herb either. But I was wondering if that is contributing to the high triglycerides (800's). Prior to my last blood test w/ the 800's triglycerides 1/2009, it was in the 300's (6/2008) which is still high.

AA is for alcoholics (never been, don't think I need to)...NA is for narcotics (never been, don't think its necessary)...and I've been to SA for sexaholics a handful of times. Haha, seriously.

    Peace all...
