    Looking for Power exersizes

I know the clean and jerk is renowned as one of the staples to any explosive power workout. I was just wondering what other full body exersizes have the same kind of effect ?

I am looking for as much streangth and explosize power as I can get!

    Squats
    Dead Lifts
    Bench Press

    Those all build power.

It half depends on what your strength and power gains are for. Different sports require different exercises.

I have never been sold on bench press being a powerlift but i agree
    deads
    Squats
    BB military presses

    are key.

Look around your gym, what you see people not doing you should be !

Doing the bench press, powerlifting style, is a good power exercise, but overhead presses (standing military, jerks, or push presses) are much better for overall power development than the bench press.

You can't go wrong with cleans, squats, deads, overheads and bench presses.

to the original poster, are you talking about power as in over all strength or .. explosive power for sports or something along those lines.

by the tone of your question I think you are asking something about power in reference to fast power not strength...

    can you clarify please

If you wanna build fast (explosive) power, a lot of the plyometric exercises are good for this. Plyo (clap) pushups, jump squats, burpees (which will also build conditioning fast), box jumps, medicine ball throws, etc.

If you want pure strength, then I couldn't agree more with BgMc31. He basically detailed my entire program, save for a few isolation movements
