Just a pointer to newer lifters

I'm not sure if this belongs here or not (if it doesn't it can be moved or deleted I just feel like sharing right now).

First off I am no bodybuilder or trainer so this is just my personal opinion. If a mod or someone with proven knowledge wants to back me up or break me down please do.

I've been lifting continously for a year. I'm 19 years old. This time last year I weighed 180 and could barely push 160 flat barbell bench for one rep. Now I weigh 210 and am able to do 260 for one rep and I did not take juice. Just hard work and somewhat right nutrition. Now it might not seem a lot to the bigger dudes on here but today I did back and pushed my self to where I was uncomfortable(not a hurting uncomfortable just a "this is foreign" uncomfortable). I deadlifted 275x3. It was the best feeling ever to know that only I did this without any help too soon. I actually tried to join this board at 17 and got bashed and told how I don't want to even think about touching roids and got banned by Nark. I waited and payed my dues and did everything right like big guys on here suggested and now I can actually see what they were saying. You can go as far as you want, you just need to discipline yourself.

With all that being said, make sure you are never "comfortable" in your workout. If things are becoming routine and you leave the gym feeling alright with a couple drops of sweat, you are not going to your potential you will NOT be a big dude (if that's what you want). Use everything in you at the gym and in a few weeks you'll thank me and everyone else here that take their time to help out others. I hope this helps and if anyone needs motivation READ READ READ. The worst that can happen is you read something you already know.

Thanks for reading and get BIG.

BTW if you feel that because I have 55 post that I don't have a say, look at the date I joined. I'm on these forums everyday I just don't post garbage like" COOL" or Welcome to EVERYONE on the new members section. I try to post motivational stuff or put my say in where it makes sense.

Just kidding m8, i understand wat you mean, To many people think adding more muscle is about filling themselves with more and more gear, when really they dont lift heavy enough to begin with...

    Welcome

J/K this looks like a good place for a Nark quote.

"If you approach a challenging weight with a preconceived number of repetitions in mind, then you WILL shut down (mentally and physically) at that number... even if there's a possibility that you could've gotten another 2 or 3 repetitions on your own."

I feel that...I get so mad when I go home and I dont hurt after. Now you have to take that with a grain of salt, because there have been times were I couldn't walk all week. Now thats definitely overdoing it. I try to rotate exercise orders I find that helps a bunch. If you go to the gym and always do your front chest first then your backs going to lag, and vic versa.

Isnt it funny how when people list the number of reps they do they almost always end in even numbers (3 and 15 being the exception) I have seen guys write how they train to failure with reps of 12-10-8 and 6 listed. No one ever seems to fail on 7 or 9 for some crazy reason.
