    This was a poorly conducted study IMO.

    We had this discussion on my forum some month back when it was published

    They compared milk (which contains both protein and carbs) to 'energy drinks' which only contained carbs.

    No surprise that the protein + carb feeding beat the carb-only feeding where recovery was concerned.

    It doesn't peg milk as a superfood however. All it shows is that carbs + protein > carbs consumed alone.

    Maybe but there has been a string of studies involving milk and its effect on PWO recovery. Granted a number of them have been funded by the dairy industry, but still. Give my my Chocolate Milk!!!...
