    squats take more energy

When I squat, I get WAY out of breath. No other exercise I do even gets me breathing heavy. I do not do cleans or deadlifts, but when I used to do these it would also get me out of breath. I do literally everything else and nothing seems to tax me anything near squats. Anyone else notice this?

yes thats pbvious becuase these exercises require the most oxygen to oxidate the blood and supply blood to muscles

doing these exercises also burns the most energy and requires the most amount of muscle force

so its normal to be out of breathe or breath heavy after doing them

however their is a point of how heavy you should be breathing

apart from squats requiring alot of energy and oxygen, you also need to have some descent cardio vascular fitness and health

ALOT of people run out of breeathe because they are generally unfit, and this is usually another problem

Work on your cardio a bit more... it will help the breathing for sure. Prob won't take it away but it will go way down.

Don't hold your breath, breathe slowly, and take a break at the top if you need to for 2-3 breathes...you gotta remember to do it other you get light headed, which can be dangerous.

yes the same for me and everyone else, just watch the pros when they do squats. I don't do heavy at all, but its getting easier the more I do it, still is the most energy demanding exercise...

All the above input is most likely the correct advise, you may also want to check with a doctor for any cardiovascular condition that may be a symptom of something more serious (such as a heart myr
