    Knee soreness

I am in the closing weeks of my 5th aas cycle (test and deca) and my right knee has started hurting right below my knee cap. It gets real tight when I sit with my knees bent and is sore. I was able to do my leg workout last week but it was pretty sore throughout my 1st exercise, and then it seemed to loosen up and didn't hurt the rest of my workout. I have never had any knee problems but have been increasing the weight quite a bit on squats and leg press, not to mention I am walking around about 15lbs heavier than normal. Anyone had this similar injury? What do you recommend I do about it...take a few weeks off, see a doc?

I did tear some ligaments in my knee when I was in a highschool wrestler and if memory serves the pain was in the same location you describe. Now obviously thats not what you have done, but I would get it looked at for sure. Could also be an acl injury??? Go to the doc! Hope it turns out to be nothing.. Let us know.

I talked to a physical therapist at the gym yesterday and she said that more-than-likely I strained my platella tendon. She didn't sound that concerned w/ the injury just told me to take it easy and make sure to ice it after use. She acted like inflammation in this area could be causing this soreness. I have legs today so I guess we will see...I am going to be careful and take it easy. My legs won't be seeing 405lb squats today.

I completly tore acl tore mcl and tore meniscus in one shot. I knew cause my knee couldn't even hold me up. It sounds like it is just strained so give it some rest cause surgery sucks!

I have the exact same thing in both of my knees. My patella tendon is sore as all get out. I have been battling it for 6-8 months now. My problem is from playing basketball I love to play and dont take time off. The key point here is it will take rest rest rest for it to get better. The last time I had a flair up it took nearly 6months for the pain to go away.

I warmed the knee up really good before leg day last week and that helped, as well as me taking ib and icing it after my workout. I know that rest is what it needs, but I am in PCT so I need to not abandon legs right now. I'm not going to go super heavy and continue to ice it to see if that helps.

Thanks for all the advice guys!

I thought it might be due to hack squats, leg press, or lunges. I normally keep strict form on free squats.

I've been suffering from petellar tendonitus for quite sometime in both knees try really stretching your quads, most of the time knee pain is because of tightness in the quad.

Thanks for the tip. I did legs today and the knee held up pretty good...I avoided squats but did go pretty heavy on leg press and walking lunges. Have you noticed leg press hurting your knee more so than other leg exercises? Seems as though I had the most discomfort during leg presses...I might need to leave this exercise out.
