    do I really burn 3500cal/day?

    Hi,

According to nutritiondata.com's calorie burning calculator,
it estimates that my body burns around 3500cal/day through having a "moderately active lifestyle" (in other words, taking 9000 pedometer steps per day)

    Here are my stats:
    age: 25
    Male
    Weight: 255lbs
    6ft tall
    Body fat around 27%

So obviously 3500cal/day is an estimate...

But is it really within that range? Anywhere near there?

To burn 3500 cals worth of fat from your body a day is not possible, but to eat 3500 cals worth of food and even more and burn it all is absolutely possible if you are active and/or working out.....

    Define "a modertare lifestyle".....

I'm 6'5, 190 and about 7%bf and it said a similar thing for me on one of the websites. I think it said 3600 calories was my maintenance level
