I used to run cc and to increase speed and endurance we would do interval training which was running sprints seemed to work. good luck.
The best way to get endurance is put weight on your back and go running up hills start with 25kg to 35kg and increase the weight when it becomes easy our each week add 5kg to 10kg.If you have a beach run on the soft sand our get in the water put some resistance on your legs beleve me it works, the army beleave in hill running with loads of weight , when you take the weght off and run your time/distance will improve hugely try it out.Just make sure your body gets the fuel it needs a good diet with loads of calaries when your doing long distance you will burn it up
