    30/30 mins or 60mins cardio

what is better, 30 minutes at one time of day and then 30 at another, or 60 right in a row.

    I usually do

-walk for couple mins jog for about 10 mins repeat

    -walk sprint walk sprint etc.

    -3.0 walk on 8 incline

just do whatever i rly feel like out of those 3 methods mostly

60 minutes for sure. The only instance I see 60 could possibly be detrimental is morning or pwo. But 30 minutes does nothing if you ask me. Maybe if it is all high intensity or pwo or in the morning.

I mean, I did a 30 min cardio workout today. Did back earlier on and actually was roller blaring for about a mile even earlier in the day lol haven't roller bladed in years thought it'd be fun but it killed my feet. Anyway, I'll admit i was a little tired but I did 30min of 3.0 on 8 incline an I worked up a pretty good sweat, so I wouldn't say it does nothing, but i cN understand why 60 would be better

I've seen the best results of my life when I was able to do 2 ~30 min cardio sessions per day.

Session 1: 3k run in the AM, fasted. It took about 25 mins at medium-high intensity. I did this 3 days a week.

Session 2: Either a short, very high intensity workout (think Crossfit). Or normal weight training + 30 mins LI cardio. This was 5-6 days a week.

I saw results/progress doing one or the other but when I started doing both, the difference was night & day.

Someone with more knowledge than I can correct me. IMO this is a tough question.

In one respect your body only begins to burn fat after roughly 20 minutes of cardio. Meaning that you are techinquilly only burning fat for 10 minutes each time if you do two sessions. Where as 60 straight through will get you 40.

On the other hand. If you do cardio for 20-25 minutes your metabolism will kick into high gear as your body anticipates a need for increased energy, your body will stay that way state for a few hours afterward. The amount of time in that state does not change in relation to how long you work out. So 1 60 min session you get higher metabolism for say 3 hours. 2 sessions at 30 minutes you will get higher metabolism for 6 hours if you space them out.

I would guess it could be a wash? I'm sure someone else can provide better more defining info.

    All depends.

I get really good results when it comes to fat loss and keeping muscle mass on no carb diet with only 30 min low intensity cardio after weight session..

this is very close to the best way i have found and heard of...

I was told by a member here, that in the morning on and empty stomach do 45 minutes since the 20 minutes of high bpm's is correct, you get 25 minutes of fat burning and its all fat due to empty stomach.

Then- after workouts do 30 minutes... Your heart rate will already have been up from the workout (i hope...) so ou get 55 minutes a day.

On non workout days- just do an hour and do it in the morning if possible. If not- try to make sure you haven't eaten in like 2-3 hrs

    good luck,

    "dirty d"
