    Alcohol on diet! Yes/no?

The incineration of alcohol takes place in the liver, and not the muscles. So it will not be affected by physical exercise.
Wich means you cant "train" away the 2000cal. of the alcohol you consumed yesterday.
The body will incinerate the alcohol with 0,1gram pr. kg of bodyweight pr. hour, this is because the body will give preference to incinerating the alcohol. That means that the body will save alot of the other energy you consume/have consumed.
The dinner you ate before you started drinking and everything else you consume other then the alcohol will cause alot of extra energy that will be stored as fat.
Let's say you eat 1500cal. during the day, then go out to a party or whatever and consume alcohol worth of 2000cal. and have a nice "the day after" breakfast, alot of what you eat until the alcohol has completely left the body will be stored as extra energy = Fat.

    6x0,5L beer = about 1170cal
    1x0,75L bottle of wine = about 510cal

    Do the math!

This might be usefull info for eveyone in here who is dietting without AAS, when alcohol should be out of the question anyways.
Think twice before you consume alot of alcohol if you want to get maximum result from your diett.

Sorry for the metric system and spelling (Norwegian).

The dinner you ate before you started drinking and everything else you consume other then the alcohol will be stored as fat (atleast most of it).

This is a huge exaggeration. You say that nearly all the food you eat after drinking alcohol is stored as fat. Well there are alot of people who eat massive amounts of food during a drunk bender and they don't wake up with 5 pounds of extra fat. Your theory greatly oversimplifies the nature of the body's metabolism. I'm not saying that drinking isn't counterproductive to losing weight, but your claims are pretty bogus.

Ofcourse you are allowed to have your opinion, am not saying everything gets stored as fat but there is ALOT of extra energy that will be stored as fat, not all.
I also edited out the "everything" part, that was not my intention, it's not allways easy to explain yourself in english 100% exact....

This is not my theory but this is from a medical journal wich i get cause i study medisin... its not boggus but read between the lines, your the one that simplifies it....

Alcohol should be kept in moderation but its not all bad. Most is, but not all of it.

Alcohol stimulates more calorie expenditure, it also suppresses the oxidation of dietary fat — your body burns more calories but less fat.

Alcohol is also very toxic to the leydig cells and will damage testosterone prodution (I can go into more detail here if anyone wants to know how?). In studies its around 20%. Which is a fair deal IMHO.

Alcohol can increase DHEA's though and that may then give us cardiovascualr benifits.

Its a potent duretic and when you go for a piss after having a few drinks, thats not all the liquids you have consumed drinking all that alcohol. Its duretic effect is significant.

I didn't mean to suggest it was your personal theory but I definitely didn't oversimplify it. I stated that the metabolism is more complex than your post suggests. Anyways its a bit irrelevant now as Swifto has saved the day with his knowledge.

its all about moderation..one drink(1-2, going past that you suffer previously mentioned problems) every few nights will basically have 0 negative consequence..i set aside one day a week i drink to catch a good buzz but always use diet soda and vodka..alcohol actually increases keytosis for anyone interested through increased acidity (if you were on a keto diet )..i had good results cutting with alcohol in moderation..but like i said, moderation, dont go having a bender 3-4 nights a week and not expect set backs in your goals

Obviously it has negative consequences in any diet. Empty calories, affects test, makes you feel like shit the day after.... That being said, I consider vodka and water an approriate cheat meal! LOL
If I know I am going to have some drinks at night, I lower my cals during the day, and vow to not be write off the next day. I also dont stress about it and make myself feel guilty. You have to enjoy life a bit too...Just my two cents!
