    golf ball sized sterile abscess?

    Injected 2cc of e350 about 2 weeks ago into ventrogluteal (hip) using 1" 25g

    A few days after, a lump developed and became golf-ball sized. Its been 2 weeks and the lump is still there. It literally looks like a golf ball is sitting just below the skin.

    I had one a year ago just like this (didnt notice it until i stuck a new needle in and withdrew yellow puss like fluid when aspirating) and it went away within a week or two, but its just concerning me because this one is still here

    No redness, no red streaks, not warm to the touch, no fever, no pain.... just a lump

    I started using warm compresses and massaging the area... can i do anything else?

    I'd rather not drain it myself, and i dont want to see a doc unless its absolutely necessary

    Any opinions would be appreciated! Thanks guys

    from what i read on the boards, it seems like this could be a pocket that my body formed around the gear because it didnt like something about it... maybe i didnt go deep enough but i thought i always did

    i guess i'm just looking for some reassurance that its not something that i'm going to need to get cut open for ha

    well i am not a doctor and i dont think there is any on this board so you may need to go to the doctor for actual advice. I would drain it personally and not look back.

    yeah sounds more like a cyst. I had one... got over 30 stitches from it, not cool.

    seeing a doctor is a good idea. Draining it I dont think is a big deal though, poke it, drain it, clean it with some alcohol and peroxide, put some betadine on it also after and of course bandage it.

    It's because they are a bunch of pansies and probably go to the doctor to have slivers pulled out also

    Maybe they have never had a blister the size of a 1/2 dollar on their hand that filled with water they had to pop, damn those can hurt especially if you peal it... LOL

    It doesnt seem to be an abcess, just a build up of fluid or oil.

    Did you inject in there a few days/weeks before?

    Have you used this site for injection before?

    I have had rashes and lump twice. They went after 4-5 days. In my left shoulder.

    i recon drain it, but be smart, make sure you clean it well and keep it clean, first sign of infection, get your ass to the doctor (or dose yourself with antibiotics =)

    i'm all about home surgery, tho i've never pinned myself.

    Yes, i injected there a little less than a week before I injected the shot that went bad. So the overuse of the site could be contributing. Its my most common injection site... i had been rotating left vent and right vent for 2x week shooting

    i gave up using vents for this reason, may be a coincidence but i had trouble with lumps in this these sites also
