Hey champ, first thing you gotta do is hit up the unofficial how to bulk thread, it's a sticky at the top of the diet forum! From that you should be able to design a diet for yourself! You can make massive gains just by getting that diet in check!

You are absolutely correct. And OP, when I was your age, it was difficult to gain weight. I had great muscularity and vascularity, but couldn't really crack the weight thing. But I didn't have all this great information available to me at the time either. If you really want to get your house in order, for the next 4 years, learn everything you can about diet and exercise. Then stay focused on what you learn. If you feel the need for supplements, for you I'd probably recommend protein powder, maybe some bcaa's, and creatine. Skip the AAS. Your body is still growing and will continue to do so until around age 25. If you want us to critique your diet or exercise program, you can post it here so we can see.

The mistake I made early on, besides not really understanding how muscles grow or how to train, was the idea that "more is better" when it comes to strength training. I totally overtrained and never gave my muscles a chance to rest/grow. Which is why I had such a difficult time making gains. Now, I focus on one muscle "group" a day, and hit that group extremely hard, but I only hit that group once a week. Some of the pros out there that live the life may hit the same muscle group twice a week, but they've got their technique down to a T, and know exactly what they are doing. For me, I'm good with just once a week, and still see some really nice gains.

Watch these Video's. Have a pen/paper ready and take notes

Then read the rest of the stickies at the top of the diet section. You also need to begin cooking for yourself if you are serious about following a diet and training programme. With commitment and discipline you will make a great deal of progress

P.S stay away from takeouts and that type of shvt food!

I'll second the nomination for squats. Many rookies focus on the "glam" muscles and ignore the largest muscle in the body.

    Its a crime!

    Every one needs a base...

Pay your dues under heavy iron , then do what ever fancy cable exercises you want!

But at least squat 200 dead 250 and bench 150 before you do!
