    Help & Motivation!

Hey hey ppl, 1st let me start by saying i havent been on here for a very long time and i wasnt 100% sure where 2 post this . so if this is the wrong place i apolagise

    Anyway to my question/problem..
Up until i was about 21 i was very athletic.i played football(soccer) 3x a week, went boxing 3x a week, tryd to lift weights as regulary as i could, and played alot of other sports as well. I was walking around at about 190lbs/205lbs(im 6 foot tall). all i wanted to do was some form of exercise all the time!and this is how i had been since i was a kid.
Then about 4/5 years ago i went on holiday and when i came home i was diagnosed with Turburculosis,im sure most of you know but for thos who dont its a v.serious lung infection that is potentioly fatel if not treated quickly. so for 7/8 months i was bed ridden and hardly ever ate a thing.i dropd down to about 130lbs,any muscle i had had completly gone and i couldnt walk up the stairs without gasping for air! i started training again as soon as the dr said i could but 6 months later i was stabbed in the chest when a crackhead tryd to rob me and again was bed ridden for a long time.so lost all gains again!
So along with some other bad things this just killed whatever motivation i had to train and its been that way ever since.
Which brings me to now,im 240lbs close to the same fitness level i was after being ill and i have no idea how to make myself get up and train! and when i do i wouldnt no where to start now!

Does anyone have any tips or anything that can help?
once im in a routiine im sure il b fine but right now i need a kick up the ass or something lol, and if theres any good training routines/programs you know that are realy good for someonen in my shape (wipes tear away from fat cheek)
any advice greatly apreciatted ty in advance ppl

    Jonny

hey man. sorry to hear about the rough times but it happens, nothing you can do about it. But as for motivation, i find that if i just start working out the motivation comes naturally after afew sessions. Occasionally ill go to youtube or here to the pro bber forum and check out some videos of the pros. seeing what is possible and how much muscle there is to aquire is great motivation for me.

I dont have any routine specificaly for your situation because ive never been in it but start simple, basic compound movements to get your CNS and large muscle groups used to lifting again. dont be afraid to start light and work your way up. when getting back to lifting after a long layoff your ego can be your undoing if you go to heavy to fast. Throw some cardio in 3-5 times a week and your on track.

    Good luck brudha.

hey moto yea i know what your saying and i know how easy it is to do lol but like i said i just dont seem to be able to...i bought some kettlebells yesterday got a friend 2 show me a good starters routine and he also gave me a easy running programe to follow.

im going to the supplement shop tomorrow & was just wondering what supplements could help me with the fat burn, my friend told me to pick up some Whey and casein protein,a bottle of EFA's,green tea extract, and he told me to buy a "Colon Cleanse product."
He said where iv been so inactive for so long i will most probly have a loads of toxins and things that are hindering me,done a little reasearch on it but most of it is from the manufactuarers trying to sell there product!..anyone have any insite on them lol

    Cheers Jonny

Tough times dude, glad to hear your getting back on your feet.

I was treated for TB after a positive PPD. 9 monthes of INH plus 50mg of B6. Got were I didn't sleep for days. no fun.

Check out crossfit, you sound like you were pretty intense before the rough times.

    Good luck.
