    Workout by total volume lifted????

Good to see the usuals are still around keeping things interesting here!

Need to program at end of Nov. Talking to a guy that works in strength & fitness for CMU and he was telling me about a program with no set/rep scheme just total weight moved.

Ex. Workout A - Goal to move 5000lbs. for flat bench.
    move 2500lbs. for incline fly.

So no matter what you weight you start with or how many reps or sets you perform you have to hit 5000lbs flat and 2500 incline fly.

Anyone have a NAME for this so I can read more. I know this is kind of what Arnold reportedly did at some point.

I know exactly what youre talking about except in a different form. I worked out at the cowboys facility a few times and they had water machines where you pushed water as the resistence. A 5 year old could do it it would just take a million times longer than an nfl'er. I'll have to look up the exact type of training it is, some of the best workouts Ive ever done!
