    HIIT cardio

I have been doing cardio 2-3x per week, mainly slow running on the treadmill.

I am thinking it is not the best use of my time so I am considering trying to do HIIT.

What do most of you do for hit? A friend does a 25m session, where he runs slow for 10 to warm up, then does 30 seconds high intensity, followed by 1m of recovery, and repeats up to the 20m mark, then a 5m cool down.

Does this seem like a decent program? For me the simpler the better.

Also, when starting out, do I incorporate 1 hiit session a week for the first week to avoid going into an over trained state (I'd be doing normal, low intensity cardio on other sessions)?

My main goal is to burn some fat while continuing to build muscle. Also doing 4iu of HGH daily.

IMO what your friend is doing is interval training, not true HIIT

    IMO HIIT is like this

    Warm up

    Hill Sprint for 10 - 15 seconds
    Recover for 45 - 60 seconds

Repeat 10-15 times.... Or until sick

Good for burning fat? Yes possibly

Good for building muscle? NO! HIIT will stress your body and over time could push you into overtraing

Build Muscle while on a calorie defecite? Hmmmm, I wouldnt count on it (some have done it tho, FG for Example)
