Can you believe it? America, the beacon of freedom, is one of the last free countries to recognize gays in their military. Better late than never. It shows how powerful the religious right is in Washington. It has nothing to do with unit cohesiveness, and everything to do with politics. Besides there are codes of conduct for all to follow in there. This has been long overdue. And no I'm still not joining..

Here is something to think about.
Say you hate gays, say you think they are evil, wrong, etc.
Then why would you give them immunity to war? All the good, straight, god fearing christians that we want our society to be built from are going to be put in harms way and killed in record numbers, and all those gays that we seem so ashamed of should stay safely at home to help rebuild the country? I mean, the very theory of gays not being able to serve goes against the ideals of the people who don't want them to serve...idiots...

They read it, they just dont understand it nor the fact that it was translated back in 1690 by order of King James of England, and the translators of the time even wrote an addendum to it warning the readers that they did their best however there are mistakes in it. Back in those days as in today there was slang and words of multiple meaning of the day. Like one preacher once said. God's Word Is Correct, it's mans intrepretation of it that is all skewed. and as we all know anyone can pick and choose a verse out of the bible to fit his or her own views of the day. It's a good book with good guidlines to follow, but it gets scary when individuals use it as a weapon to control others to their way of thinking. It's still America and we still have freedom of thought, just dont tell the Gov. or they will tax us on it.
