Accutane Blood Tests and Insurance Question

So I'll be getting prescribed accutane pretty soon here for acne. It's covered by insurance along with the blood tests, but I believe the tests are only for liver enzymes, and possibly cholesterol levels, while I'd like to have my test levels checked as well. Could I ask for this to be checked and hope my insurance covers it, and could I get in trouble for using my insurance for blood tests during/for my cycle?

Do I first need a reason to have my test levels tested for the insurance to cover it, or does it just depend on my insurance plan? Any insurance experts out there?

    Thanks.

Roche pulled accutane from the market. The generic form is still on the market, I am not sure that I would take it at all.
