    Push ups on off days????

Whats up brothers...i've been doing the m.a.s.s. Appeal workout that was in the recent musclemag..gotta say it's great...entire body is sore at the end of the week...feels great...have a quick question,i've read conflicting advice...is it ok to do pushups on your off days,or should you just let your muscles rest and heal entirely without any workout in between lifting???? Any advice would be graetly appreciated, thank you in advance

don't know the program, but i would say let your muscles heal.. no point in throwing some pushups in there as all it will do is delay recovery.

id also go with let the muscles heal on the off days, remember they grow during rest not the workout. also eating right with plenty of protein is key.

i will do a couple of sets the day after my chest workout as kind of a stretch. ive heard and believe that it helps with soreness and recovery, to get blood to the muscle the day after you work it. i only know that it works for me, some1 on here may no the science behind it. let be state that i only do it as a stretch like work out, 2 or 3 sets of 15 or so, no where near max or extreme exercion of the muscle.
