Thread: Back Techniques

    Back Techniques

I'm feeling awesome about my gains both in size and strength right now, but I'm beginning to notice a small size difference between my left Lats and Teres compared to those of my right. I do my back lifts slow obviously to get a great squeeze, also to keep good form. I do both joined and isolated workouts. Is there something else I can do to make sure I bridge the gap in size between the left side of my upper back and the right?

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

If it was a glaring weak point and you were going to step on stage then it would make sense to maybe every 1 in 3 sessions drop the lat exercises for the smaller side...

However if you wish to continue and grow more and more then I would not worry TOO much about it, just keep your form tight and dont let the stronger side overcompensate

That's what I've been thinking, just continue to focus on not letting the stronger side compensate at all. Thanks for the feedback bro.

I've recently noticed my right lat had significant size difference than my weaker left one. I plan on doing some solo stuff on the weak one and hit it twice a week, probably every other week. Hoping to catch it up. I really cant even understand how I would have developed it, unless some kind of injury or strain. I dunno.

Same problem with my lats. Maybe make your rowing exercise a dumbbell row? This solved my my problem and I always did an extra set on the left side. But, it will be far more obvious to you than anybody else.

Thanks bro, ya that's what I've realized. I notice it more than anyone else. My lats are a slightly off too, but I'm focusing on it a little and letting them catch up over time. Thanks again for the reply.
