    high intensity cardio question

    so ive been reading about this hitt training and was just wondering if i was on a treadmil and went from like 8mph for 5 min and then back to 3.5 for 2 minutes if that would be considered hitt training?

    im out of shape in terms of cardio and was just wondering if that still would be ok to do

    Wtf your out of shape when it comes to cardio but you can do 8.0 for 5 min? lol. IMO thats a little long. I would do 2 mins high 1 min low. Your way would work to but would just take a bit longer. Taking a 2 min break may take your HR a little to low. I like 2 mins at a very high speed and 1 min at a fast walk. Has worked very well for me and for people who I advised this to.

    But honestly you wont know what works best for you until you try it out.
