quick cardio / diet question. Thanks!!

I usually do my cardio when I wake up on an empty stomach, is that ok? I do 25 mins stairs intervals then 15 mins cross trainer and 15 mins incline walking.. head home and have a shake with isolate 50g protein, glycomaize, banana in water.. 45 mins later I make oatmeal / eggs 2 eggs /4 whites with some sort of lean meat in it sometimes avocado. Any critique would be awesome on that^<br>

for my question about today.... I want to hit up the gym soon to do cardio but then hit up some weights later like 3-4 hours from now... I feel I'm on an empty stomach now since my last meal was 2 hours ago... should I eat anything now or just hit the gym then shake / food after? Thanks for any help!

Cardio on an empty stomach is just fine. Some say that will give you the best fat loss. Your post cardio nutrition is solid, though you may want to consider having the meal a little closer to the end of your cardio.

As for your question about today, I can't really help you. Thats all personal preference. I don't eat pre cardio unless I'm doing HITT or running 10+ miles. But I always eat pre lifting, I can't perform otherwise

Cardio in the morning is ideal, your body has burned everything through the night so running on empty means you'll be burning faster. So people say anyway

Personally, I wouldn't eat closer than 1 hour - 1 hour 30 before a cardio session, especially HIIT, personal preference really. Have the shake post-cardio. Try have a meal pre and post lifting aswell. Low GI carbs before, High GI carbs after. Hope this helps
