does anyone utilize a cold plunge or ice bath after an intense leg session, or cardio session? if so, what benefits do you think there are to this? only connection i can make is something to do with blood flow, but correct me if i am wrong.

The ice bath is thought to constrict blood vessels and flush waste products, like lactic acid, out of the affected tissues and decrease metabolic activity and slow down physiological processes and reduce swelling and tissue breakdown. Then, with rewarming, the increased blood flow speeds circulation, and in turn, improves the healing process.
When playing football in college we had a huge in ground pool in our training room. It was split in half one side being a hot tub one side being a cold tub. I loved it especially during the 16 hour days and two a days during camp. I havent really used them though after working out but i feel like it could help
used to have one at my gym but never thought about actually sitting in it although prolly do a lot of good
u got one ragin?
Not hard to make one. Buy a bag or two of ice and fill your bath tub with cold water. Sit in there for 20 minutes. THe first 2 or 3 are somewhat brutal but once you start to numb it feels great
In high school we would fill big brute trash cans with ice and water and climb in bending down so the water was waist high
