is it your shins that hurt?
so the calf area, are you sure your footwear is correct for the way your foot meets the ground when running?
also do you find its as bad a problem on a threadmill versus road work?
i think your totally right my shoes could be the problem ive had these zigtechs for about a year and a half and did some serious work in them, and also yea its mainly on the tread mill im gona test that out tonight tho, im gona run a couple miles on the road. do you know of any good running shoes?
aasics
this explains the different types of footwear, it seems like nothing but makes a massive difference

thanks that was a big help i srs didnt know but i am flat footed so im gonna look into the maximum support asics gotta hit the mall up, i wish the designs and colors were a lil better tho cuz im tryna look coo at the 5k but at this point id def rather have a good shoe over looks.
yeah mate i used to care about that aswell but now i can run serious distances no problem while i watch people complaining from splints etc after a few km wearing their nike or addidas tennis shoes
I reckon it will make a massive difference for you
Be sure to not to do the laces up too tight, your feet swell by as much as 1/2 - 3/4 a size over long distances, mabey not that much over 5k but they will swell and this then is also a common problem for people and it can cause serious discomfort
