Thumbs up New Workout Toy (wrist & forearm strength)

My newest creation for those interested in forearm and wrist strength. It basically serves the same purpose as a sledge, except its adjustable. Made with a 2" pvc handle and small piece of pipe screwed in to the end. wrapped in baseball grip.

This is the basic movement. It will strengthen the wrist and top part of your forearm. This is just 7.5lbs on here, and it burns like hell

The best way to do it, is standing....and place the pipe on your side.

Here's another contraption i have in my backyard. I figured i'd post it just in case it might spark an idea for someone, or help them in their sport. (it's about 16' tall)

It has a pegboard, two climbing ropes, pully system w/ handle, wrist roller, pullup bar, and a few eye bolts that I attach my garage door spring to.

I had a "trick" i used to do when i was a kid. grab a sledge hammer by the bottom of the handle. hold your arm out straight and sledge hammer straight up. now very carefully, without bending your elbow, bring the hammer to your nose, only bending at the wrist.

I used to be able to do it and make it look fairly easy, although it's not. Then you hand the hammer to your buddy and tell him it's his turn. if he's had a couple of beers, he may actually go for it. The goal is to not get a bloody nose! =)

    And extra points for reps

HA! appreciate it bro! I actually sketched that on a piece of paper, and gave it to my dad. He runs a shipyard (a great connection to have!!) So he got a few guys to construct it. I anchored it to the cement and flanged it together. It was hell to put up, but well worth it!!

I'm always thinking of crazy ideas to gain strength. I now have too many toys, and not enough time! I drew up that free-standing wrist roller as well. I love that thing! (it's in the pic, on the right side)

You need to run a prison house gym.... I used to lift with rusty weights cling them together with pec flys, all kinds of metal shavings in my eyes...probably why I lost a lot of my vision.

    This is hilarious!!!
But I know exactly what you mean. The metal shavings would fall in my eyes when those dumbbells were in the gym. So no doubt they would do it now. the end of the weight might even fall off now!

I even have these accessories! http://www.fatgripz.com/

For some reason, when having your hand open more during exercises, you feel different muscles groups working!

I also use to own a pair of "eagle loops" until i left them at the gym and they were jacked!

It was basically nylon straps, with holes for each finger. You'd attach it to the pull up bar and it was make u use your fingers to do the pull ups.

Honestly, I don't use them enough to even tell. I think for most people, it's not worth the $40 price tag. I think there other "big grip handles" on the market for much cheaper.
