    Question My workout....what do you think?

    Hey all,

    Currently doing a 1 muscle a week routine...

    for each large muscles- legs, shoulders, back- doing 4 exercises per muscle with 4 sets-8-12 reps

    for smaller muscles- bi's, tri's- doing 3 exercises per muscle with 4 sets-8-12 reps

    abs everyday

    Anyone do a routine similar to it? I have been doing this for 3 months so far and really like it....

    You seen that one? Check out the vids... very similar but may change your game a little bit.

    I just switched back to that type of setup. Quit doing bi and tri lifts on back and chest day, and gave them their own day. 12-14 sets per muscle group with drop sets mixed in.

    I've done the same thing for my arms. I never felt like they got a workout when I did them with back/chest routines. When I do tri's/bi's together I get a great pump that just isn't there otherwise.

    Yea that's pretty close to what I do. I think it's a pretty decent routine. I usually do a push/pull split and do 3 days on 1/2 days off.

    More importantly - is it working for you? I've seen mixed reviews on doing abs every workout vs. treating them just like any other muscle group. I'm currently hitting my abs once a week for 6-9 sets with high reps. They seem to be responding well so I'll go with it for awhile and see what I see. The only exception I am making is for calves. I hit those twice a week.
