    Volume vs. Mass maintaining gains

While on cycle I increased my compound movements weight to where I could do 12 reps and hit failure. I wouldn't go past this improvement knowing I would switch to low reps heavy weight while doing pct. When do you think it is ok to switch back to high reps lower weight? I'm making my gains stick but I want to switch my routine so my muscles do not adapt.

What built your muscle will maintain your muscle, as long as you eat enough to support the new found tissue.

Sets of 12 reps is what I do now. I've been seeing good gains with them so far. Taking a big break from the low reps workout
