Hey guys just wanted some input on how worried or anal you get about training body parts too often or the fear of the infamous overtraining? For instance, some weeks I have to cram my workouts together a little closer than usual, usually I'll put at least a few days between muscle groups (currently doing Norton's PHAT), but as I've said depending on my schedule sometimes I have to get my workouts in on Tues, Thurs, Sat, Sun which would mean training accessory muscles like triceps quite frequently. This is not an all the time deal and I know for the most part so long as I adjust the volume and get all my calories I should be ok especially on cycle. Any input on this? Part of me feels like just shut the F up and train!

thanks for the response mauz that makes sense. I feel great today actually and sometimes I feel like if you are itching to hit the weights may as well take advantage because we all have those days where a workout just sounds grueling thanks again

Mauz nailed it really IMO. Make sure you do get rest days in though, they're paramount. I've met so many people who lift 7 days a week, it's unnecessary there are a few exceptions however rest is case crucial as the next!

Best to train each particular muscle/muscle groups 2x per week. Don't fall victim to the "overtraining" bandwagon. The human body adapts rapidly. Don't get me wrong, rest IS important but you should not be afraid to push your body and raise the bar every workout.
