So I see a urologist for my TRT, and an Endo for my hypothyroid, and thank god my Endo isn't in charge of my trt! I had a thyroid check up yesterday and he started asking some questions about my trt at the end. He said he wouldn't advise anyone at my age (35) to be on testosterone because its "proven to cause" heart disease, high blood pressure, and prostate cancer. He said he only recommends it to his patients who are at least 60 because by that age the life expectancy is probably short enough that the risks of testosterone likely won't catch up with them. He said he recommends I talk to my urologist about coming off for a while to "see where my levels are at now." I respectfully told him I feel better now than I have since I can remember and I have no desire to get off trt since my urologist seems to think everything is going great with it. I sure hope he doesn't have other patients who could benefit from trt who are stuck living with it because they're taking his word for it. Ridiculous.
