Not seeing him again for thyroid was my first thought after I left. I've lost a lot of respect for his opinion overall that's for sure. My thyroid protocol is pretty well under control and requires nothing more than blood work every 6 months to make sure my synthroid dose doesn't need adjustment. I may just see if my pcp can take over that and cut out the Endo. At this point I can read my own thyroid numbers and decide if I need adjustments anyway. And sadly, I know this is common, just still unsettling to hear a supposed expert who is so out of touch. On a positive note, my urologist has been great. I mostly deal with his PA, and SHE is well educated on current protocols and studies and is very supportive of trt and its benefits.
