Been chasing brown trout during the spawn up in WY. Anyone else suffer from this affliction?!

This dude was close to 10 years old, not quite the eating type. I release about 99% of the fish I catch, occasionally keep a brook trout or a small rainbow to cook up when the family is camping.

Love fishing in general. I do not fly fish though. Find it disturbs my peace I get from the act of fishing too much. Pretty much a bait fisher.

I bait fish too, on the fly is my preferred method but I’m not opposed to drowning worms

Can't really find anything lately that turns my brain off. I'm in the Canary Islands right now, and earlier today I rented a motorbike and drove for an hour to find a nude beach, and then I went gokarting. I definitely had more free and optimistic thoughts today, but that isn't the same as your brain turning off.

The bike ride was scarier than the gokarting. I felt safe in the gokart, but I knew I was fucked if the bike slid out, plus the wind was VERY strong on my way home, I thought I might have to pull over to the side of the motorway and stop driving.

Water was lovely at the beach... not cold at all...... plus there was a group doing bodypainting.



I have the choice of staying here in the Canaries til 10th Jan, or alternatively I can go do a Buddhist meditation retreat (10 days silence) from Christmas Day onward. Haven't made my mind up yet. The silence will definitely help me getting to a place where my brain turns off, but maybe what I really need right now is just to chill out and enjoy myself (quad biking, paragliding, horse riding in the mountains).

I have a fishing rod I bought for less than $10 in a food market but I've never caught anything. I am however tempted to shoot squirrels with pellet guns and mail the carcasses to Obs in Missouri.

Also my exgirlfriend used to horse ride (her family were big into equestrian stuff and they owned a horse farm), and so since she died I've been saying I need to go horse riding, so maybe that's what I should go do in the next few days. There is a trail in the mountains here that the horses walk.

Could the moderators/administrators of the board please discuss my proposal for a rule change?

How about if nude photographs and videos are allowed so long as all these criteria are met:
(1) All people in the media are over 18
(2) All people in the media are aware that they're being recorded and consent to it
(3) No sexual behavior, no postures intended to arose, no lewd gestures.

Personally I think it's very reasonable to be able to post pics and videos of ourselves nude at a beach or on a boat on lake. Maybe start off by just allowing still photographs, and see if that goes well.
