    Arrow Muscle Groups and Workouts

[I could not find an answer to this after some searching. I cannot imagine that any question has not been asked before, so I apologize if this one has been over-done.]

I often see back/biceps and chest/triceps groups put together for a workout.

What is wrong with doing Chest/Back and Biceps/Triceps, so that opposing muscles are being worked out on the same day?

    e.g.

    Mon Back/Chest
    Tue Off
    Wed Biceps/Triceps
    Thu Off
    Fri Legs/Abs
    Sat Shoulders
    Sun Off

    Your thoughts?

There is nothing wrong with it. However how many sets would you do for a back/chest workout and then contrast that to the # of sets for a bi/tri workout.

    I've been doing 3 exercises per body group @ 3 sets/8-10 reps.

I change the exercises periodically, and sometimes just the sets/reps.

I'm not really a fan of goin on a strict sets / reps workout. I go with what feels good, what makes me tired with a great pump.
