    how much strength loss durring cutting

    how much strength did you guys loose as you became leaner, just want to see how i compare,using bench press and squat for example


    here's mine

    went from 190 to 167 bench went from 300 to 275
    squat went from 400 to 375

    i would think this is pretty good preservation

    It just depends how much you are cutting.I have lost upto 40% prior to comps before today, it just depends on how far you are going.The thing is keeping muscle size, strength doesnt really matter to most bb's, the 2 usually go hand in hand though!

    I don't lose much.. if any until the last 2 weeks before a contest... and it's only a temporary loss due to depletion at the end of my contest cutting.

    I have found that the more I drop my carbs..the quicker I lose strength. Which..happens to be this week

    Just need to keep a good log of the loads, reps, sets and possible time frames you are using so you know what you need to fight to maintain... IMO, if cut without a training journal you will lose the most strength when compared to those who keep things documented.
