Currently my back routine is this:
    Deadlifts 10,8,6,4
    WG t-bar rows
    Lat pulldowns
    Shrugs

All weight is increased by ten pounds as I go down in reps

    All help is much appreciated!!

everyones body is different so as long as your tearing down every area of your back with maximum intensity your good to go. different exercises work better for different people

that being said i would definitly try to incorperate bent barbell rows into your routine, the best overall back exercise there is IMO

    4 set pull ups
    3 set pull downs
4 set bend over bar rowing
    4 set seated rowing machine
3 reversed pull downs or T-bar
    6 set Deadlift

it might sound much i dont count the pull ups cause i consider it a warm up. and it works for me.

i usually start with heavey cable rows, then close grip lat pulldowns, tbar rows, shrugs and then at the end inverted lat pulldowns. i always get a killer back workout

I personally only do deads every other week my friend. It takes quit a bit out of me so I can't do them every time I do back. You may also want to try changing grips and width. +1 for the bent rows

    Cheers

you are using a step down approach, i believe Arnold was a big advocate of that type of training in the 80's..

try a different method, sounds like you are at a stage where growth is limite, change up your routine every 6-8 weeks..

try adding weight up, and lowering the reps, then on the last set, lower the weight to 60% of the max, then do 20 reps..

    works like a charm..

lately ive been doing 4 working sets of deads, 1st one at 315 x 8-10, then 2 sets at 405 x 5, then back down to 315 for 8-10. have been using a similar method with alot of exercises recently. il do four exercises for back, usually 2 for width, and 2 for thickness. and yes, barbell rows, overhand or underhand, really fry my back. i love them, wish i was doing them RIGHT NOW
