So I'm trying to decide wether to go back to the HIT training or to try out the 5x5 training routine. I did HIT a few months ago with some really good results but it started to lose effectiveness so I switched to a program with a little more volume. I like to switch my program every 6-8 weeks. I'm interested in the 5x5 routine because it has more exercises. I think doing 2 additional exercise for a few sets will be more beneficial for me at this point in my training.

What are some opinions on the 5x5?
