    Cardio on my rest day?

    Currently doing 3 days/wk weights and 3 cardio with Sun being a rest day.

    My aim = lean muscle gain

    Moving to 4 days weights and want to keep up 3 days/wk cardio. What would be better for me - doing one day of both cardio and weights and having 1 day rest per week, or not mixing the two on any day, but not having a rest day?

    Doing cardio on a rest day it fine.

    What I do is listen to my body, you should know when it needs a rest day. When your body is tired let it rest.

    You body needs to rest for maximum gains. If you're not reaching you projected goals, then not having enough rest may be a cause.
