Whats Better Treadmill, Elliptical, Lifting Weights?

I am having a hard time trying to figure out what to do. I want to lose a good bit of body fat first and then start lifting weights to get ripped but dont know how much cardio to do. Is this even the right way to do this?

    diet diet diet diet.

Go to the diet section and go to the Cutting Diet sample.

Cardio, on empty stomach, best done in the morning if possible, 6 days a week, for 1 hour at 65% MHR(max heart rate). Tredmill, stairmaster, bike, it doesnt matter, just get at 65%MHR for 1 hour.

Of course, have a good weight training schedule.

A good cutting diet along with cardio/weight training, and you will be golden my friend.

concentrate more on cardio than weights at this point. 1 hr a day is a good reccomendation at 60-65% HR. Weights 3 times a week for no longer than 60mins each workout. Once you are lean enough up the weights to 4-5 sessions and drop the cardio back to 3-4 30 min sessions EW.
Obese people tend to use sugars as fuel, you need to forve your body to burn fat by doing low impact cardio. Weight training will just burn sugar stores and wont do much for fat loss. Once you are leaner you can develop some muscle through weight training which will increase your BMR and keep you nice and lean.
