    Shoulder saving exercise?

I have beat up shoulders, nothing ripped or tourn just real picky with the movemnts it likes. I discussed it with my MD. He explained that when I work out on a shoulder press machine, don't complete the the full range of motion. I'm to just push thru till just past my MELON Does this make any sense to any one out there Thanks Bro's

I have a similar problem with my right shoulder. The way the doc explained it to me was that with out strict form I was pinching my rotator cuff. She also explained to me that limited motion and slow reps would help alleviate the pains. I have made many adjustments to my routine in trying to find the right exercises that do not kill my shoulder. 14 years of baseball and 7 years of Greco Roman, Freestyle and Collegiate Wrestling did a number on the body. It is just a matter of find the right motions.

    melon??? wtf?...lol

if your shoulders are toast then try not to go beyond a 90 degree bend at the elbow when doing the negative of a shoulder press....and try eliminating behind the neck shoulder presses for a bit till your better......

m shoulder was in a similar situation for awhile......had to baby it for a bit, but that helped me a lot in the recovery process....now I'm back at 100%......I stay away from pressing machines, that's where I usually get hurt....

    hope that helps......
