Whats going on with my chest???

Now my chest is usually have been my biggest wepaon, solid lean and massive. After some time off in the gym, and restarting again there is something unusual going on. Usually after i bench my chest would feel king kong pumps and after my chest routine my chest would be sore for almost a week straight. Recently though even after i work out my chest is not as nearly pumped and tight as before and i only feel sore for two days even after a brutal workout, it seems like i cant hit my chest. WTF is up??? Whats going on?? As a consenquence my chest got smaller and i have been working it out for sometime now. Should i switch exercises?? But those same exercises use to give me great results. Or is something like my arms overcompensating??? Help!

Whats your chest routine look like? also try and widen your grip on benching, it will really help stretch those pecs on every rep. If your hands are to close, ur going to be working mostly tri's

thats way overkill on reps. i would lower them to the 6 to 8 range for awhile and do straight sets rather than pyramiding.

I would bag the Cable cross-overs and keep the dips and if possible maybe some weighted dips.Do you ever train with dumbbells as opposed to straight bars on your main mass building exercises?

you are pushing some good weight, idk why you are so concerned, you said your chest got smaller but you are pushing more weight now? idk there are a lot of exercises for chest but try using the dumbells for your benchpress and see what happens

maybe it's a figment of your imagination, or maybe you put on some weight so your chest isn't as defined, not saying that is a bad thing at all but it's a possibility, but anyway like i said before try the dumbbells and give it a good squeeze at the top, best of luck bro!

Why is that funny, 50% of your current routine is power/strenght base.

If you wanna lift heavy, in the 4-6 rep range, then do it for the first exercise like incline or flat db or barb bench...

Then for your next press/compound movement lighten the weight to a range proven to increase hypertrophy for most in the 8-12 rep range, I would even pic a weight that you can do about 10-11 times and slow down your form, makeing sure you get a good stretch and flex and squeeze at the top of the movement to force blood and you should only get like 8-9 reps.

finally for flys/pullovers etc, either go down in weight higher in reps like 3sets of 8-14reps to achieve a pump, or stay mod heavy (8-10reps) and do intensifiers like strip sets....

Do you not measure yourself? I thought everyone did!! lol. Then you would no if your chest is growing.

How long have you been running the same routine for? Maybe your body is gettin used to it and ya should switch it about a bit. Use dumbells like you said and see how it reacts.

    Only time will tell lol

Your chest might look smaller because since it was your strongest weapon, it might have also been the biggest. Your body after all this time is probably now catching up and looking more symmetrical so your chest only seems smaller??? Just a thought.

That makes some sense, i am also gonna try to bang out perfect slow very concentrated reps, and also not lock out when benching keeping constant pressure on the chest, see what happens
