Heavy/ light weeks ? Who does them ?

You guys lift heavy one week (5-6 reps) then light the next (10-12 reps) in an attempt to change things up ?

I like to go at least 4 weeks or more before I change things up. IMO lets your body get into a routine. In all reality though, whatever keeps you motivated to workout is good too.

I incorporate heavy and light in every workout.
i.e. heavy for the compound movements, for instance bench, then light (if you consider 35kg/77lb dumbbells light) for incline flyes.

I have been doing this for about a year now. Seems to help keep me injury free from other routines I have tried.
